Their Suisun Valley winery is best known for their Petite Sirah and their Zinfandel, which are rated among the best in the region, and are used in well-known wines, such as Sin Zin and Ravenswood. Most unusual with a taste of lavender, grapefruit, hazelnut.Vezér Family Vineyard is a winery near Napa Valley, which is owned by Frank and Liz Vezér. Try the wine they call "Sophie", named after their daughter. If you want to spend the afternoon in a beautiful setting (the Victorian home is lovely), amongst friendly proprietors, sipping fantastic wines, Vezer should be on the top of your list. Ron, being so accommodating, sent us on our way with the wine we requested, one of the wines presented at the tasting. We prefer whites, and asked Ron if we can have a bottle of pinot grigio instead. At the end, Ron presented us with a bottle of red wine. Then Ron, the tour guide, gave us a most interesting tour, followed by wine tasting and a delicious cheese platter. He stopped in the middle of his work and set up the computer for me so that I could access my Groupon account and retrieve my confirmation number. When we arrived at the winery, I found Jake, the wine maker, who was crushing grapes at the time and explained to him our situation. Their desire stemmed from the many travels and wine experiences they’ve had over the 35 years of. With humble beginnings they put their heart and soul into producing a product that they not only love but that others could as well. Vezer is a family run winery, very friendly and unpretentious. Vezr Family Vineyard is a Suisun Valley winery owned and operated by Frank and Liz Vezr. It is about a 30 minute drive, but seems a world away from Napa. We had a Groupon for the Vezer winery in Fairfield in the Suisun Valley. We started our week in Napa visiting the vineyards in Napa and Sonoma. If you want to go off the main path a little, I highly recommend it. Joseph took a lot of time and made it so fun. There were other people in the main room, but they do the tours in private groups. We were there a couple of hours and we had the tasting room to ourselves. Then back into the main house where we tasted about 6 more wine that Joseph paired with a nice selection of bread sticks, cheeses, meats, and chocolate. We started with a couple of wines to taste, then went on a tour of the grounds, were we had a barrel tasting. He is funny, passionate, informed, and made the experience very special. Joseph, our personal tour guide, was wonderful. It’s a beautiful southern looking building nestled in the rolling vineyards. Would you like to receive an automatic notification when this wine is. It was about a 35 minute drive from Napa, but well worth the drive. There are currently no wines in stock for this winery. On the last day we wanted to go to one that wasn't quite so commercial. The view, education, weather, and overall experience was fabulous. My husband and I spent 3 days in Napa going on wine tours and tasting at different vineyards.
